Your attractive remuneration system

Since January 2004, a collective wage agreement has been put in place for all states of Germany. This collective agreement regulates the conditions for the remuneration and the regulatory framework for employees in temporary work. Extra pay of up to 50% on Sundays and of approx. 100% on bank holidays is determined by the collective wage agreement. The exact amount of your extra pay depends on the regulations of the customer company.

As a member of the Bundesarbeitgeberverband der Personaldienstleister (BAP) (German employers’ association of the temporary employment industry), we commit ourselves to high standards as your employer. (www.bza.de)

Fair pay based upon the following payment categories

PC 1 with short or no training period

PC 2 requires a longer training period

PC 3 requires an apprenticeship or several years of experience in Payment Category 2

PC 4 requires an apprenticeship of 3 years with several years of professional experience

PC 5 requires an apprenticeship of 3 years with several years of professional experience and additional training

PC 6 requires a master craftsman, technician training or a similar qualification

PC 7 equals PC 6, but includes several years of professional experience

PC 8 requires completed studies at a University of Applied Sciences

PC 9 requires a university degree or completed studies at a University of Applied Sciences with several years of professional experience

Extra pay for certain industries

Since November 2012 new regulations of the collective agreement apply for temporary workers in the metalworking and electrical industry as well as in the chemical industry. At the beginning of 2013, these will also apply for customer companies in the plastics and rubber processing industry and in rail transport. There are on-going negotiations with other industries. If temporary workers are placed with a single customer company, extra pay is received after a certain period of employment based upon the remuneration agreed in the collective agreement.

Example of the metalworking industry and the electrical industry:

Duration of employment in

one single customer company

Extra pay in addition to the

standard wage in temporary work

after 6 weeks 15 per cent
after 3 months 20 per cent
after 5 months 30 per cent
after 7 months 45 per cent
after 9 months 50 per cent

Temporary workers will benefit from the new regulation, as a considerable wage increase is possible, depending on the duration of employment and the industry. Temporary work remains to be a good opportunity to enter the job market and offers, unlike most other sectors in Germany, benefits such as a nationwide collective wage agreement or extensive training and professional development opportunities.
